The Pachmarhi Cantonment was established in the year 1872. The Cantonment board is a statutory body constituted under cantonment act 1924 & entrusted with the municipal administration of the cantonment area Municipal administration includes among other things provision of civic Amenities, medical & educational facilities formulation & implementation of Development plans, financial management & personal administration in Short it runs the entire gamut of local government functions & includes such Varied functions as the registration of birth & deaths to enforcing measures for the protection of environment.

Qualification:-

1) Pass State TET/CET with prescribed and
2) Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education. OR "Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)" Who has acquired the qualification of Bachelor of Education from any National Council for teacher education Recognized institution shall be  considered for appointment as a teacher in Class 1" to 5 provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatory undergo a six month bridge course in Elementary Education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education with 2 years of such appointment as Primary Teacher. OR

Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) 2002. OR
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education).
OR
Graduation and 2 year Diploma in Elementary or its equivalent.
