The Integral Coach Factory is one of the earliest production units of independent India. It was inaugurated by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru on 2nd October, 1955. Later the Furnishing Division was inaugurated on 2nd October, 1962 and the production of fully furnished coaches steadily increased over the years. Spread over 511 acres, it has more than 9500 employees who turnout more than 4000 coaches in more than 175 varieties every year which includes conventional and self-propelled coaches in LHB and other designs.

Qualifications:

12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. 50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen. and Those persons selected as Junior Clerk are required to acquire proficiency in Typewriting of 30 w.p.m in English or 25 w.p.m in Hindi within a period of TWO years from the date of appointment and their appointment will be provisional subject to acquiring the prescribed typing qualification within the stipulated period.
